Member to Member Discounts

AWE members may provide member to member discounts and other benefits to fellow members.

Affiliation with the Grand Rapids Chamber

In December 2002, AWE and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce formed an affiliation designed to give women business owners and executives easier access to Chamber membership and benefits. This affiliation was designed especially with small businesses in mind. Chamber membership brings many benefits, and now AWE members have access to those benefits at a discount. Benefits of Chamber membership include:

Finding new customers through the Chamber membership list, ads in Chamber publications, networking at Chamber events, linking your website to the Chamber site.
Reducing business costs by using Chamber endorsed providers for several types of business and person insurance, discounted office supplies, discounted local and long-distance telephone service, internet connectivity, employee assistance program.
Learning new business skills by attending workshops and free seminars hosted by the Chamber.
Protecting your business and improving the business community through Chamber advocacy efforts with local, state and federal government.
Making a contribution to the community by participating in Chamber community programs or volunteering for one of the Chamber committees.

Company members in good standing with AWE may join the Chamber at a $100 discount from normal Chamber dues.
Current Chamber members who join AWE must notify the Chamber when they join AWE; $100 will be discounted from their next year's dues; no refunds for current year dues will be given.
This discount applies only to Chamber members paying normal company dues. It does not apply to any special dues programs or categories offered by the Chamber.
